I thought I'd leave a little note about what's happening with SerialSurfer... The source code for 1.0b10 was lost. So I thought I'd start over in 1.1 =)
Well, not all the code is new, but 80% of it is. The only stuff that's been taken from the previous version is the parsing code (what reads the database).
The great news for those who did not like the scull design, is that it is not implemented in this reader (yet). I will add it as soon as I get everything to work fine with the plain one. I am likely to allow skins.
Some interesting stuff about this reader.
• Does not require Appearance (but will use it if it's present)
• Does not require Navigation Services (but will use them if present)
• Does not require Drag & Drop (who hasn't got that???)
• Does not require OS8-9
• Does not require a PPC (it's FAT)
• Does not require a brain (there's no unlabled buttons as in the previous reader)
It is very likely that you'll find some bugs in the reader and if you do, I'd appreciate a bug report on alt.hackintosh or warezbbs (attn to NumeriK). Don't feel shy for comments and suggestions (even complains are welcomed)
